2004 Tahoe Door Key Lock Not Working

The problem turned out to be that the fuse for my cigarette lighter was bad and for some reason it also must be working in order for the door locks to work.

Put in a new cigarette lighter fuse and the door locks worked again. The locks cyc. If you don t have a spare remote you may be able to buy a used one or get one from your local dealership. For vehicles equipped with door lock cylinders the door can still be opened using the key.
