I think the vertical connecting rod from that handle has come lose from the door lock mechanism.
Remove the handles including the thru spindle.
Instead of door handles the c6 corvette utilizes a button actuated electric door opening mechanism on the inside edge of the door.
To fix the door knob figure out where the connections have gone awry.

Pushing downward on the lever shown will release the door even if the door is locked.
Take the handles knobs off of the door.
This mechanism gives the door a sleek low profile look but it does come with a drawback versus a handle as the electrics can become unresponsive with time.
Getting to this lever can be a trick especially if you have the anti theft shields in place.

I replaced the driver side outside door handle about a year ago which was a chore but recently the outside and inside door handles won t open the door.
This has to be moved to an open position so that the lock will work properly once that is done you can pull up the lock button on the door and then open the door with the handle outside or inside handle.
