100 Series Sun Roof Stuck Closed

Tilt the sunroof into vent position as far as possible then press and hold the same switch for 30 seconds until you see it move release the switch and immediately press and hold it again the sunroof will close and open fully then close again do not release the button until it reaches the closed position for the second time.

I can live with my sunroof not working as long as it s closed. I went to shut my sunroof and it was just about closed when it reopened on its own. Can i remove the glass and put it back in with the sunroof closed. If you have a map light or consul box you will need to remove that box to get the headliner to pull down far enough. We are sure it is the jam protector as it bumped against me. I am not looking to fix the sunroof to make it open close but want to stop the leak. The track and cable work together to pull the sunroof open and closed.

It kept almost closing and reopening on its own for a few minutes before it just got stuck halfway open.
